Look at the replies and the quote retweets you'll notice not a single person dared to consider why this won't work, nearly all of them are either a) ad hominem attack against Fehlinger and b) simple dismissal like saying Fehlinger played way to much HOI. Only one or two in the hundreds of reply saying the west is only doing this to better rule over China and things like this have no historical and political foundations, which is clearly a conclusion that can only be derived from the Unified China narrative, the biggest lie that persisted through out the last millennium to current times.
It's only natural for them to think this way: for people who have no business here, China is just another far away meme factory which only exist to produce silly memes for their consumption; but people who do have business (or trying to get on the playing table) in their eyes are almost always the "big bad government fanatics", especially in the eyes of left leaning people, some of who may even have been fetishizing China and CCP.
I forgot where I was going with this, but for people who really cared, you have to understand this is why most China separatists tend to be right wing: modern western left wing focus on classes and individual identities because the first world already went into the stage of after the end of history, but we need people who would actually work in our benefit instead of fighting against transphobes on Twitter, it's actual political power's attention we are trying to get, and it's people's lives we are forced to set up and pay; we have no rooms for discussing drag shows, pride parade, BLM protests and gender affirming therapies.

CCP psyop is quite scary if you think about it. The word "psyop" sounds like conspiracy theory, but the intensity of CCP psyop is way beyond the common end-of-globalization public's imagination; call the US AmeriKKKa as many times as you want, but even AmeriKKKa has standards; CCP has none. You might have heard about the word "wumao"; it's quite an old word, but being an old word doesn't mean the thing it refers to has ceased to exist. Shit, you say CCP psyop doesn't exist? Shit has been increasingly intense (and hard to discern) in recent years; they could build an account so close to a real person that you really can't tell. Imagine this: assume you speak Czech, you've followed a Czech-looking account on Twitter, that account speaks Czech, retweets Czech, looks absolutely to you and to everyone; but one day he began to retweet carefully crafted pro-China and pro-Russia content weaved with half-truth, and somehow other Czech-looking account you've followed started doing that too; it's hard to not have a tendency to be affected by this kind of implicit propaganda. Now imagine that the Czech looking accounts might not have been Czech at all and they could be some random Chinese guy in jail literally fighting for his freedom (through earning commutations); this is the level we (and also you) are facing right now. Of course you can just assume they're just tankies who moved to the US but got disillusioned - but tankie-ness spread just as much, also that's way too optimistic for my taste.
One thing you have to understand is that there's definitely way more CCP psyop than you think; your favourite leftist activism account could be a CCP psyop (or helping a CCP psyop) in the flick of a finger - or they could just be tankie, but with the rule of ersatz accuracy you could (and should) just consider they're all psyop agents because they definitely can whip up thousands of fake accounts (if not tens of thousands) for psyop at any given time. USA sucks, but PRC sucks million times harder. If you think you can have a life suitable for a noble person here, you are wrong. Do not make stupid choices.

The full-width exclamation mark was a particular bad job; all the translation engines I've seen always translate full-width to half-width when converting Mandarin to English, this weird kind of combination can only comes from someone who input English with his IME set to Chinese mode (the triple exclamation mark could also be a giveaway). You might think it's someone from Japan because Japanese also uses full-width exclamation mark, but the one thing you have to know is that "bad Japanese discharges nuclear water into the sea making the whole world suffer" has been common little pink rhetoric for years...
This is why separatists go for western right-wing: the western left does not care; the only thing they want is a conceptual puppet, something they can control and use to bash the thing they hate the most; they don't give a fuck about the reality behind the thing they use. That's why when you ask them for support for real they are only going to ignore you with annoyance, because to them, puppets aren't supposed to speak on its own; separatists' future does not lies within the pity of those "kind-hearted people", it lies in the possibility of attracting those with the power and the desire to place their bet on this land.
